Education & Experience

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCS5633) with a Masters Degree in Social Work.  I am also a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (016092) awarded by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work for advanced practice.

Prior to private practice I worked at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles where I provided direct clinical services to veteran patients.

At Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center I worked on the Suicide Evaluation Team, on the Medical Student Teaching ward consulting with medical students about psychosocial needs of patients and in the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit.

I have been involved in professional activities my whole career.  As a Fellow member of the California Society for Clinical Social Work (CSCSW) I have served as President, chaired the Ethics and Standards committee and have been a board member.  I served as the Coordinator of the Greater Los Angeles District of the CSCSW for many years.

I am the co-author of Model Standards for Clinical Social Work Practice in Divorce and Business Mediation and formerly was a Peer Reviewer for the National Association of Social Workers.

Other professional association memberships include the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the Center for Clinical Social Work.

To maintain proper practice standards, I regularly participate in continuing education both as a student and a presenter.  I also meet regularly with peers in a clinical consultation group and keep current with professional literature.
